Our Arlington based client is seeking a The Legal Operations Specialist/Paralegal that will manage and support the legal department and report to the General Counsel. The Paralegal will provide clerical support, documentation, perform research, and other services to assist the legal team. This position is a Direct Hire position and looking to fill quickly.

  • The Paralegal will meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned matters or projects.
  • Prepare and assist with legal documents for attorneys as directed.
  • Paralegal will conduct/assist with legal research for attorneys as directed.
  • Manage case files, ensure summaries are properly prepared and updated, litigation files are properly and securely maintained, and records and documents needed for litigation are collected and organized.
  • Interview internal clients and witnesses with outside counsel as directed.
  • Manage corporate records, including drafting of corporate minutes and maintaining minute books.
  • Maintain and update repository of legal department books, material, and resources.
  • Ensure legal files are maintained and destroyed in compliance with record retention policies and procedures.
  • Document and verifies expenses.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and reservations for attorneys.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Degree: Associate in Paralegal Studies with paralegal certification PLUS work experience may be considered; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in a legal field or similar department.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of court and administrative proceedings and documentation.
  • Thorough understanding of lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and proper maintenance of all legal records.
  • Basic understanding of corporate compliance and transactional law a plus.
  • Superior proficiency in administrative tasks.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
